Alyson
Alyson has always had an eclectic mix of pets as a child and knew that someday she would have a career working with animals. Alyson entered the veterinary industry in 2000. Despite being in the field for many years, continuing education is very important to Alyson. Alyson is constantly attending online seminars and continuing education to stay up to date on veterinary technology and she is the lead technician at PAWS.
She has a strong interest in canine behavior and nursing care. She treats each patient as if it were her own. Never enough cuddles in a work day. Alyson has a wonderful way of allowing each pets' personality to be respected in the veterinary environment. Calming the most fearful dog and respecting the boundaries of aggressive dogs.
She is owned by 2 Australian Cattle Dogs....Cattle Brats as she lovingly calls them. Her Cattle Dogs were all adopted through ACDRA.org, a rescue that she remains very active with by fostering, transporting and helping out in other ways.
In her spare time she loves creating a unique mix of art, hiking with her dogs, hanging with her grandchildren, kayaking and just enjoying the quiet of her home in the woods.
